Welcome to our Prayers-for-Mothers page!
Whether you're a stay-at-home mom, work-at-home mom, a
homeschooling mom, or a work-outside the home mom, (or Dad, or
Grandma, or Auntie for that matter!) time for quiet reflection
is essential to your day !
Ever had those days when it was all you could do to find a
moment to stop and pray?
This is when we develop a "prayerful spirit"...when our living
and carrying out our duties "becomes our prayer"...and that's
well and good.
But it's also important to try to make time to BE STILL AND KNOW
THAT HE IS GOD!
A few moments of meditation can be just what you need to carry
you through.

We offer you these prayers-for-mothers as a devotion for
each day...feel free to copy and print them for personal use or
share with a friend!
Light a candle, or sip some tea on the porch...kneel by the
bedside, or take a walk in your yard...and let these quiet
reflections lift your heart and mind to the Lord that He may
bless you in your vocation!

You are the Light of the world, Jesus.
This world has grown dark and is in great need of Your Light.
Bless those who need You most today.
Help our nation's leaders have the courage to follow Your Laws.
Help those who are oppressed to seek refuge in Your Sacred Heart.
Help those who are searching to find Truth in Your Word.
And, help us, your faithful servants, to carry Your Light unto
the people...that through us, they may grow closer to You.

Marriage and family are under attack.
There are those who wish us to believe that marriage can be
redefined to suit sinful lifestyles.
We know better, Lord. We know that YOU are the creator of marriage
and that You have ordained it to be between one man and one woman
for as long as they shall both live on earth.
Steady our feet and straighten our path, oh God.
Grant us the courage to rise up and defend marriage and family
against the enemy and his followers.
Help us to cling to Your Word and to trust in it.
Bless our marriages and families, so that, one day at a time,
we can restore what You have made, but the world has tainted.
Help us to build up our families and to strengthen our marriage
bonds. Let us not give up when the going gets tough or fall
into the trap of despair. Instead, help us to have faith and hope
in Your promise that "we can do all things in Christ".
May our families and marriages be the victors over the Culture of
Death and lead others to the peace, and joy, and love that comes
from following Your way.

Oh, Jesus, we adore You.
We praise You.
We worship You.
You are the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world.
Have mercy on us.
We are not worthy that You should enter under our rooftops...but
we trust in Your word and know that by it, we are healed.

Bless our family and our homeschooling this day, Lord.
Help me to tend to the hearts of my children and to devote
myself wholeheartedly to their care and the care of my home.
Help me to be focused, diligent, and purposeful in the ways
I spend my time.
Grant me JOY in my vocation.
Help me to be fully-present to my family as You are fully-
present to me, each day.
Let me not become distracted or depressed in my work.
Rather, help me to see the blessings that surround me and to
remember that there is happiness in the simple pleasures of
life.
May I be a faithful servant to You and a good wife and mother to
my husband and children.
Bless and keep us always in Your care.

This is the day the Lord has made, let us be glad and rejoice.
Bless us, oh Lord, as we come to Your table.
Bless us, oh Lord, as we sing.
Bless us, oh Lord, as we lift up Your praises.
Bless us, oh Lord, as we pray.
This is the day the Lord has made, let us be glad and rejoice.
Bless us, oh Lord, as we bow our heads.
Bless us, oh Lord, as we bend our knees.
Bless us, oh Lord, as we share in Your blessings.
Bless us, oh Lord, as we hear Your Word.
This is the day the Lord has made, let us be glad and rejoice!
