HOMESCHOOL-HELP IS ON THE WAY!
Are you seeking some homeschool-help? If you are stuck in a rut
and feeling lost, consider these thoughts. We want to help
you to persevere and make it through the tough times!

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF DEAR HOMESCHOOLING MOTHER!
Make sure that YOU, as wife, mother, and teacher, are in good health. You are the heart
of your home! A lot of pressure? Indeed! That's ever-more-the-reason to make sure that
you are in good shape spiritually, intellectually, physically, and emotionally too.
If you've been homeschooling for any length of time at all, then I'm sure you've noticed
that the rhythm and harmony for the home have A LOT to do with how YOU are feeling.
Visit our
MOM'S GOOD HEALTH
page for more on this topic. Valuable homeschool-help can be
found in caring for the mind, body, and soul of the
homeschooling mother!

Homeschool-help to LIGHTEN THE LOAD!
Cut back on outside activities for a while. We can't tend to the matters of home if we
are never there! Extra curricular activities, sports, and community service projects can
be both fun and worthwhile. However, in times of crisis in our
homeschools, it helps
to "draw in the reigns" a bit; and spend more time AT HOME
TOGETHER as a family. Give
yourselves a break! Allow yourselves freedom from busy
schedules, constant driving,
and costly activities; and spend more time together in prayer
for your family!
Review the needs of your students and connect on an intimate
level in order to cultivate
PEACE, JOY, and HARMONY, in YOUR home!
Homeschool-help to RESTORE THE FAMILY

Break it all down to the bare basics!
Remember that "BIG PICTURE" we mentioned on the other page? It
is the KEY to homeschool-help!
With that in mind, try to understand that your children WILL graduate, they WILL learn,
and they WILL be ready to enter the world: whether in the work force or a secondary
educational system. It won't hurt (And, in fact, it will most likely HELP...A LOT!)
to lighten the load of your lessons while you wade through the rough waters.
Spend lots of time READING, play some educational games, enjoy some online research,
or watch a few educational videos. Cook and work around the house together, write to
pen-pals, and stick to the fundamentals of learning. Perhaps draw in Nature Journals,
put some puzzles together, and spend some quiet one-on-one time with a different
child each day. (If you have one child, then try to choose a special activity each day
that is new and different from your normal routine.) Set aside all of the "extras" and
all of the "heavy book work". Learn for the LOVE OF LEARNING'S SAKE ~ enjoy
BEING TOGETHER ~ give your minds a rest! Try this for a month or so and when you feel
stronger again, you can add a few things back into your schedule as you see fit.

Trust in the Lord!
Jesus told St. Faustina, "Fear not, for I will make up where
you lack".
Surely this promise stands true for US as well! WE must have FAITH that if we are
"missing something" or are incapable of adequately teaching something, then GOD will
make up where we lack! He will lead us to a helper or provide a way for our children
to realize those dreams and needs when they are grown! (I learn FAR more now than I
ever did in all my years of school.) So too, will our children be able to fill in the
gaps when they are grown and on their own! Remember...we are meant to give them a
FOUNDATION...NOT an entire lifetime of learning in 18 short years!

Stand firm in your convictions and hang in there!
Try to remember that it is your CONFIDENCE that is waning...
NOT YOUR CONVICTIONS!
We welcome your questions and comments!
As parents of 10 and grand-parents of 3, we have enjoyed many wonderful years as a family
in our homeschooling classroom. But we have also stood the test of time, through MANY
trials, mistakes, and sufferings; and with God's grace, and by the prayers of friends
and family, we have persevered and grown closer to each other and to the LORD through
it all.
If WE can help even ONE other family in their journey, then we are MOST WILLING to
do that! Simply visit our
