Our Christian-homeschool-curriculum must include PERSEVERANCE!
Sometimes the journey that uses a
Christian-homeschool-curriculum is
filled with JOY, PEACE, ADVENTURE, SPIRITUAL ENRICHMENT,
and FUN! Sometimes, IT ISN'T. If you have come here today from a
dark place, and your homeschooling journey is suffering, then
consider these thoughts:

The success of a homeschool mustn't be measured or looked at in
daily increments. While we must LIVE one day at a time, and moment
by moment, we must also keep our eyes focused on
"THE BIG PICTURE". When problems arise, try to remember WHY you
have chosen homeschooling for your family. Chances are, even in
the midst of trouble, those reasons STILL EXIST
and are STILL WORTHWHILE.

One of our blessings with a Christian-homeschool-curriculum
is the ability to adapt our lessons to meet the
needs of our families. If our current system is not working,
we are not bound to it.
We can review the strengths and weaknesses of our routines
and then decide what changes
are needed in order to create an atmosphere that is both
conducive to better learning and healthy
for our family as a whole.

The truth is, MOST PROBLEMS CAN BE SOLVED!
It might take time...and it WILL take
effort; but through prayer and discernment, along with some
healthy discussion and a willingness to accept
reality and the need for change, it is almost always possible
to ride out the storms and set our homeschooling compasses
due-North once more!

Each family is unique. We must allow God to guide us in His
Will, according to His plan for our faith life,
our marriage, our family, and our school. Resist the
temptation of judging yourself according to what you perceive
in others!!! Decide what works for YOUR homeschool ~ AND DO IT.
It doesn't matter if others are doing
the same or not. And, it doesn't matter if they approve!
YOU KNOW WHAT IS BEST FOR YOUR FAMILY! What God wants in YOUR
home might be very different from what He wants in mine.
We will do ourselves a huge favor, and
lessen the stress levels greatly, if
we plot our courses according to what works best
in our own homes; without feeling like
we need to be doing what other families are doing.
